Things to see:

This is a quaint little spot you have to drive into the "Backwoods" of Huntsville, TX. The Blue Lagoon consists of TWO lagoons which are adjacent to each other. The lagoons are surrounded by high rock formations and many pine trees. There are many campsites available but you have to reserve them in advance due to large amount dive classes training during the weekend.

In regards to the diving, the water is as they say: blue and very clear... Visibility is excellent which made this a pretty easy dive... no theromcline detected and you can make the dive with just a rash guard and swim trunks. On the downside the bottom of both lagoons are pretty featureless. They have added several sunken boats, obstacles, and small groupings of rocks but other than that it was pretty barren. The bottom consistency was comparable to "pudding".

In general it is a fun dive. Good place to go get wet every once in a while…
