Things to see:

Suggested shore entry location is the county park near the Southeast corner of the lake. Divers will park and gear up at the top of a hill overlooking the lake. Picnic tables are available. Then, a set of stairs takes divers and swimmers down to the water. If you make your entry by shore, expect a long walk/swim to and from deeper water. A boat would be preferred to explore this large body of water. The public boat ramp could be used as an alternate entry point, but boat traffic is more likely there. Divers will want to keep an eye out for ski boats during summer weekends.

Visibility is exceptional for a lake. When the bottom is disturbed, the resulting silt settles quickly. This is partially due to the sandy bottom. There is a rough bottom map, showing general bottom countours, available on the website provided.

Common Indiana fish can be spotted here, though activity was limited during a dive in April. One diver reported seeing a Mudpuppy (a large aquatic salamander w/ external gills, adults are ~15" long) at this sight. If you spot any more interesting species at this site, please inform www.lakediver.com so that they may add them to this posting. Many crayfish inhabit the shallower water and can be very entertaining during your surface swim and shallow water explorations. Expect less fishlife in deeper water.
