Things to see:

Once a limestone quarry, this park has been transformed into one of the finest outdoor swimming and beach facility in the Midwest . Rock was mined at the Racine Quarry until it suddenly flooded. In fact, it flooded so quickly that some of the equipment used in the mining operation was left behind, making interesting sites for divers to visit.  Racine Quarry features an 18 acre lake that's deep, crystal clear and ideal for swimming, scuba diving and fishing.

Racine Quarry also boasts wall diving and sharp vertical drops that are truly spectacular and require divers to maintain good buoyancy control. Scuba divers must be certified and pay a registration fee to enter and explore the depths of the Quarry
Lake
. Wildlife includes carp, trout, crayfish, snails, and zebra muscles.
