Summersville
Lake is also called the Bahamas of the East. There are huge rock
formations and swim throughs. You can shore dive but the best sites are
accessible by boat. You can bring your own or rent the boat at the
lake. Diving is from May through September. Lots of freshwater aquatic
life.

Directions:
Take Interstate 79 or Interstate 77 to US-19. Go 1/4 mile south of
Summersville on US-19 and turn onto Airport Road. Follow the signs to
the Dive Shop and Summersville Lake Marina.
Sarge's
Dive Shop is approximately 2 hours from Huntington, WV; 2 hours from
Morgantown, WV; and about 3 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh, PA. Summersville
airport is just a 3 minute drive from Sarge's so you can fly to
Summersville Lake if you desire.
