Things to see: |
This lake is known by two names, Whitefish Lake and
Bardon Lake. This is a very clear and cold body of water. Whitefish
Lake is spring fed and is managed by the Wisconsin DNR as a "two story
fishery". In Whitefish Lake you will find Northern Pike, Walleye,
Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass, Black Crappie, Sunfish, and lurking
in the cold water depths, Rainbow and Brown Trout.
A
decent boat landing is on the SW part of the lake. As for diving, start
out by finding the two sunken islands NE of the public landing. These
two islands come up from the bottom to a depth of 8-10ft. After you
find these islands continue south. This brings you to the drop into a
depth of 20-40-50-90ft. It is here you will find the trout, nice huge
Rainbow and Brown Trout.
